Hey, I'm Anders, a Junior at Acgc High school in Grove City, Minnesota. This fall semester I decided to take a College Art 100 class with Mrs. Tantila. I am taking 4 college classes this year in hopes to earn as many college credits as I can before I graduate high school. After I graduate, I hope to work towards an engineering degree at college and achieve my dream job as an agricultural engineer at John Deere. I think that an engineering job at a company like John Deere would be ideal for me because I grew up on a farm and have the mechanical ability to problem solve and work through difficult tasks. Growing up around machinery, I know the ins and outs of most all farm equipment and engines. Working on the farm, I am exposed to many different designs and engineering. They are almost an art in them self. The way everything flows and moves together in unison. Not all is perfect, but all of it has a purpose. Just like art. Art isn't perfect, but it all has a purpose. Fixing and understanding a motor takes time, ingenuity, and creativity to think outside the box. My experience with art is not as typical as others, but it is still my way of displaying my ability and creativity. I do hope that through this art class with Mrs.Tantila, I can learn to display my creativity in a new way on a sketchbook or a canvas.
